Completing Student Clinical Performance Evaluations
Overview
Our target audience, Nurse Practitioner (NP) preceptors, are responsible for evaluating NP student clinical performance. I collaborated with Dr. Donna Hallas, the Principle Investigator (PI), for the HRSA grant to develop this module that explains how to complete student clinical performance evaluations.

Production
As a clinical professor, Dr. Hallas is a subject matter expert in the area of student clinical evaluations, so we worked to design a storyboard for the presentation of content using PowerPoint. Given our time constraint, we recorded the presentation on a new PowerPoint slide deck via screen capture. I inserted the video into an Adobe Captivate template and published it as HTML5 on the grant website and as a SCORM file to the National Association of Nurse Practitioner (NAPNAP) learning programs.

- Determine if a student is meeting core competencies
- Define 'competent', 'not competent', and 'needs improvement'.
